This is a technical review session (TRS) for a day trip to Rumney, NH, on October 15th. Please sign up only if you can attend both trips. The participants will be selected using the lottery algorithm. The participants selected for the TRS (this trip) will be automatically added to the October 15th trip page. The lottery will run on Monday, October 9th, 12 pm.
Description
This is the 1st part of a 2-day "Learn to Lead" climbing series! The goal is to lower the barrier for folks who know how to top-rope to learn to lead climb safely in a gym. This trip is an indoor technical review session where we will cover the basics of lead climbing techniques.
Where: Stata center, 32-124
When: Tue, 10/10, 6-8 PM
Requirements:
- Know how to TR belay
- Are attending the trip on October 15th
- Own harness, belay device, climbing shoes
- Do not already know how to lead climb
Tentative schedule:
- 6-6.30 pm: indoor lecture at 32-124
- 6.30-8 pm: demonstration and practice of lead climbing techniques outside Stata Center
