THURSDAY 1/17 UPDATE: We'll plan to hike up the Old Bridle Path trail to the AMC Greenleaf Hut. From there we'll continue to the treeline section and assess the conditions and head to the summit of Mt. Lafayette if they're favorable. If time and weather conditions allow, we will continue to the summit of Mt. Lincoln. This will be an out and back hike, NOT a loop. The overall hike is 9 miles and 4300' of gain and loss.

(former info) Join Meagan, Fiona, and Nick for on an early Saturday morning adventure to a New England classic, Franconia Ridge. This is an iconic loop hike just north of Lincoln NH, with about 2 miles of above treeline travel. The total loop is just over 9 miles and 3900' of gain. Caltopo: https://caltopo.com/m/AF1E

Due to the incoming storm on Caturday night, we have a backup plan to hike the Wildcat Mountains (two 4000 footers). For this trip, we'll plan to do a through hike of the Wildcats going in Nineteen Mile Brook Trail, breaking trail from Carter Notch Hut to the summit of Wildcat A, then descending to Wildcat D, and for a purrfect ending to the hike we'll be walking / sledding down the ski trails to Wildcat Lodge. This hike is ~9 miles and 3000' of gain, but may require significant trail breaking to attain the Wildcat summit. Caltopo: https://caltopo.com/m/3CJ1

Unfortunately due to the unpredictable nature of the weather, the final decision will be made at the pre-trip meeting on Thursday night.

Please only sign up for this hike if you are able / excited to hike either mountain.
