Chris and I love trees! As a result, we will be heading up to the White Mountain National Forest to hang out with some trees! The location of these trees will be revealed at the pre-trip meeting!
It's looking like there is going to be a good amount of snow this week so we should be able to find some fresh tracks. The snow conditions should remain good from Wednesday/Thursday's storm due to cold temperatures between now and Saturday.
This is a HARD trip in varied terrain. This trip is not for the inexperienced. Please only sign up for this trip if you are comfortable skiing all terrain inbounds and have skied at least 2-3 days in the backcountry. There are going to be numerous unmarked terrain hazards as well as many—you guessed it—trees!!!
It's going to be a 1-2 hr. skin into where the skiable trees are. From there we will do 1-3 laps depending on our speed and conditions. We will then ski out on the more gentle terrain.
If you are unsure whether your ski level and/or experience is appropriate, please reach out to Chris and me.
