Prerequisites
women* with MITOC rating I or co-I (*see description for non-binary definition)

This trip is only for Winter School co-I and I leaders. The purpose of these pre-winter-school leader trips is to provide opportunities for female* ice co-leaders and leaders to increase their experience with ice. A range of leading experience is welcome (including none and lots).

Change of destination due to conditions Avalon. about 1 mile of trail then about 1 mile of bushwhack. Ice from WI3 to steeper. Lead/toprope.

*Here's a non-gender-binary attempt that will almost certainly evolve: This trip is for you if one or more of the following applies: 1) You are more female than male. 2) Physical or cultural aspects of being (or being perceived as) female have affected your ice climbing, or vice versa (e.g., cold can worsen cramps). If, based on the above, you think that I probably intend to include you in this trip but I'm not currently succeeding, please feel free to e-mail me to suggest better wording.

Notes
  1. What interests you most? (following/toproping? mock leading on toprope? leading? mixed? multipitch? how hard?) I’ll do my best to tailor trips to participants’ interests, conditions permitting.

  2. Briefly, what ice experience do you have so far?

  3. Can you provide dry rope, draws, ice screws, car?
