Want to know how to save lives? Review CPR and AED usage with MIT Emergency Medical Services!
We'll be running a CPR/AED refresher class on campus from 6-9 pm on Thursday, December 6. It's free for any MITOC leader who has led one trip. If you are an upcoming WS leader, you can get reimbursed the cost of the course ($30) once you lead a trip.
CPR is of particular importance for outdoor activities, as it is a vital skill for the care of drowning, lighting strike, and avalanche victims.
This class is not a certification course- if you need a CPR certificate for work you should find a different class. This is course is intended for MITOC leaders with an active WFA/WFR who want to brush up on CPR skills, or for anyone who likes to recreate near water, lightning, snowfields, or other people.
Signups are first-come, first serve. If there is overwhelming interest I'll schedule a second class.
If you are taking the WFA that weekend there is no need to sign up for this class, as WFA covers CPR
