Prerequisites
You MUST have applied to be a 2019 WS Leader

This trip is only for for 2019 MITOC WS Leaders

At this retreat, WS leaders will have the opportunity to bond with other leaders, gain group management skills, get experience with MITOC leader gear, start planning trips, and learn how MITOC leaders make winter school trips successful and safe.

Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner will be provided for Saturday. Bring a reusable bowl/cup/fork/spoon. We're limiting our waste and will not provide disposable dishes.

WS leaders are welcome to stay at the cabin Friday and Saturday nights, and while there won't be any official events Friday night or Sunday day, they are encouraged to join informal socializing and adventuring in the Whites.

What to bring for the day:

  • reusable bowl/cup/fork/spoon
  • personal drinking water
  • plenty of warm clothing layers – we'll be outside and inactive for extended periods of time, AND IT IS VERY SNOWY AT THE CABIN~~ RECOMMEND FULL WINTER SCHOOL LAYERS

What to pack if you're staying overnight:

  • 3-season sleeping bag, pad if you're staying in the heated cabin
  • tent, winter sleeping bag, etc., if you're camping (the cabin will be very full, so consider camping!)
