We will be hosting a Technical Review Session (TRS) to learn how to build and assess traditional anchors.

When and Where?

20:00-21:30 in the MITOC Office W20-461

Who can Join?

Those who have climbed outside, have followed trad climbs and/or placed gear, know their knots, and already know how to build anchors on bolts would benefit the most from this session. MRP participants have priority, but any MITOC member can join.

What will we learn?

We'll cover the principles behind anchor building, starting from fundamentals and practicing combining placements into a bomber anchor. Ideally we'll also cover commonly encountered scenarios.

What should I bring?

If you have the following gear please bring it.

-Harness -Belay Device -Personal anchor system -Cordolette -1 double length sling -3 single length slings or quickdraws -3 locking carabiners -3 non-locking carabiners
