There is no finer experience than sunset on West Bond and sunrise on Bond!
Some guy on the internet
Come join us for a great 2-day backpacking trip to the Bonds, one of the most remote but astonishingly beautiful part of the White Mountains!
The Bonds are an above treeline section of the Pemi Loop, offering great views on the Pemigewasset wilderness.
Our plan:
Day 1, Leave early from Hale Brook Trailhead. Summit Hale, Zealand, Mt Guyot, and get to the Bond ridge. Set up camp at the Guyot Campsite. Eat yummy dinner and go watch the sunset from West Bond. 10 miles, 4600ft elevation gain.
Day 2: Get to Bondcliffs to enjoy the view and take great pictures. Then turn around an go down through the Twins. 11 miles, 2700ft elevation gain.
If you're a pig-bagger, this hike will offer you the opportunity to grab as many 4000ers as a Presi traverse (7), while being much more chill!
To sign up, you need to have hiked more than 3000ft e.g. and 8 miles in a day-hike, and to be in a good shape. Some backpacking experience is a plus.
In case there are more than 8 people interested, a lottery will run on Tuesday at 9am.
