We will be running on the Franconia Ridge Loop, a challenging trail with beautiful views of New Hampshire's White Mountains and the Pemigewasset Wilderness
This will be a beginner mountain running trip, with a focus on learning ascent/descent techniques, form, an overview of gear, and a lot of eating snacks and having fun! Participants should have hiking experience and be in good running shape.
Required gear will include: map (provided), headlamp, trail running shoes with good traction, hat, gloves, shorts, non-cotton t-shirt, a windbreaker/rain jacket, windbreaker/rain pants, and a lightweight day pack for food and water.
Running in the mountains is inherently more weather-dependent than hiking, and if conditions deteriorate we will turn around, but be prepared for wind and rain.
