Our first beginner surfing trip of the year is happening on Saturday, June 9. For this trip, we will go to 2nd Beach (Sachuest Beach) in Middletown, RI. We will have a group lesson from Elemental Surf Camp, where we will also rent surfboards and wetsuits. Everybody is welcome - especially absolute beginners! The lessons will start at 11 am, so we aim to leave campus at 8:45 am. We expect to be back in Boston around 5pm.
The trip will cost $30 per person, which includes transportation costs, surf lesson, and gear rental. All you need to bring is your swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen, and something to eat/drink.
As our program is funded through the Office of the Dean for Graduate Education, we will give preference to MIT graduate students, but anyone who is interested should still sign up.
