Hiking the 48 and need to bag Hale? Need a good reason to get outside? Love a good Sunday hike? Let's hike Hale!

This is one of the easier 4,000 footers in the White Mountains, at 8.4 miles round trip (with 4 miles of that on the access road, which is closed). It's still about 2,300 ft of elevation gain though, so be prepared for a hike. We will start at the Flatiron Trailhead near where Zealand Rd intersects with 302, and walk up Zealand Rd, or the parallel Spruce Goose XC ski trail if that looks nice, to the Hale Brook Trailhead, about 2.2 mi. From there, we will take the Hale Brook trail to Mt Hale summit, another 2 mi, before returning via the same route. See a map here: https://caltopo.com/p/0160

No real views from the summit, so we're in it for the journey!
