lead belaying, lead climbing at 5.9 outdoors, rappelling

This trip is intended to cover the basics of trad climbing placements, techniques, and good practices. Previous SOR participants looking to gain confidence and become more comfortable with their placements are encouraged to join.

Participants should be comfortable lead climbing, belaying, rappelling, and a tolerance for climbing puns.

Trip will consistent of practice placing gear, leads, mock leads, review of good practices, and increasing participants comfort on Trad gear.

Logistics dependent on rain, but tentatively: When: Saturday, May 5th, 9AM - we're all comfortable Where: Echo Crag, New Hampshire

Depending on interest and level of experience in participants a TRS may be presented a week before the trip.

Leader availability will determine how many participants we can take; I think we will end up with space for 4-8.
