Image yourself at the summit of Mount Washington on a beautiful, warm, blue bird day with light winds and plenty of soft snow. There’s only one thing better than a fresh powder--yep--that's skiing great corn! The ski season only gets better in April.

Ski-a-palooza is a two-day ski "circus" in some of the most iconic ski terrain of the East Coast. We will stay at Intervale Friday and Saturday night. You have the option of sleeping inside, camping with your tent, or crashing in the yurt. Each night the ski leaders will make a plan to ski somewhere in the morning based on the conditions and their ambitions. We'll have groups of varying abilities. Some easy trips and some hard trips.

Saturday night we will join the Granite Backcountry Alliance at their annual Wild Corn Shindig at Black Mountain. For those that are interested, there is a skimo race you can join. The party is shaping up to be a great event with lots of different organizations around the region who will be talking about their work and their projects opening up the backcountry to more enthusiasts. (Note: the party has a $10 cover charge.)

Important: We only have 14 AT skis and 2 splitboards. If you need to rent, please indicate which size in the notes. Here are our options:

  • AT boots sizes: 23 (x2), 24, 25, 25.5, 26 (x2), 27, 27.5, 28, 28.5, 29, 30, 30.5

  • AT skis sizes: 157 (x2), 162, 163, 165 (x3), 167, 169, 173 (x2), 175, 180, 181.

We will allocate size by signup order. If your sizes are completely taken, we can contact Ski the Whites for rentals but these would come at an additional cost.
