Hoping to summit Mt Washington this weekend but don’t want to walk back down? Then this is the trip for you!
We will be skinning up the Cog Railway on your choice of AT skis, tele skis, or split board all the way to the summit of Mt Washington (about 6 miles round trip, 3500 ft elevation)! There should be new snow, and excellent conditions for the ride back down*. This trip is for people who are comfortable with skiing black diamonds at ski resorts, as the terrain is unpredictable and can be narrow is places (15’ or so). We will practice using skins, touring (hiking in skis), and skiing with backpacks.
