- Previous winter hiking experience, experience hiking at least 10 mile summer hikes
We'll hike up to Mount Willard first, then take a "shortcut" bushwhack to Avalon. We'll go the long way around the Avalon trail loop to summit Field and head back to the trailhead. We'll tag Willey and Tom if we have enough time.
This hike will be a challenging 8-10 mile day with off trail travel included. Be prepared to hike hard and efficiently, and adapt to conditions and weather!
