Trey and I will be leading a fun beginner hike in an awesome park less than ten miles from campus - the Middlesex Fells Reservation! The Fells are full of cool things like bouldering spots, beautiful reservoirs, and even some archeological sites. This is a perfect hike if you're looking for an introduction to hiking in the cold and practicing layering/happiness triangles or if you are just looking for a relaxing hike after an intense Saturday of ice climbing/psetting/etc!

To make the hike even more awesome, we'll celebrate our impressive ascent by having brunch on one of the summits. We'll bring warm drinks like chai and hot chocolate along with some breakfast treats, but feel free to bring something to share with your fellow hikers! If people would like to practice using MITOC stoves, we'll bring one along and use it to make our brunch extra great!

The details: We'll hike the Skyline trail, which will hopefully give us some great views of the Boston skyline! The hike will cover between 5 and 7 miles and less than 1000 ft of total elevation gain. We'll go with a leisurely non-alpine start, planning on being at the trailhead by 9:30 AM.

Hope to see you Sunday!
