Join us hiking the beautiful 4000 footers Liberty and Flume--as a traverse! This will be a long and relatively hard hike, at ~11 miles and 3000ft elevation gain.
We'll start early near the Flume Visitor Center and follow the Liberty Spring Trail up Mt. Liberty (4459') and Mt. Flume (4328'). We'll then hike down via the Osseo Trail, and take the nice and flat Lincoln Woods Trail out to the Lincoln Woods Visitor Center. Since this is a traverse, we'll shuttle cars between the two trailheads.
If you're interested in coming on this trip, you should be physically fit and comfortable hiking >10 miles. You'll have great chances to practice using traction, layering, and other winter hiking skills!
