Prerequisites
Confident at Lead Belaying. Knowing how to rappel would be helpful.

Want to avoid the crowds at the more popular climbing areas? Want to learn how to climb ice or get some tips on how to move more efficiently through steep terrain? Come bushwhack with us to the hidden gem of Mount Avalon.

This trip would be fine for beginners climbing ice for the first time, or more experienced ice climbers that want to learn how to climb more efficiently. We will depart early (5am) Sunday morning, hike a snowy approach (probably bushwhacking in snowshoes) to some secluded ice on Mount Avalon, and climb a variety of single pitch lines in the area from WI3 to WI4 depending on conditions.

We're keeping the trip small as we will climb in a team of 2 and a team of 3 so that we can get to know you better and maximize our time on the ice.
