We'll be heading up to the Whites for an exciting day hike up Mt. Cannon (4100'). We'll ascend via the Hi-Cannon trail and descend via the Kinsman Ridge and Lonesome Lake trails, and stop at the AMC Lonesome Lake hut for hot chocolate before getting back down to the cars. This is a challenging and steep climb with a ladder. The summit area is pretty exposed and can get very windy. The temps at the summit will be in the 30s (F), which means that good insulating jacket, shell jacket, hat and gloves are required.
