Warmer weather is here! Ditch the spikes, and come hike with us to the summit of Mt. Monadnock in southern New Hampshire. We'll hike the Pumpelly trail, totaling 9 miles over the day. The trail will take us along a ridge with beautiful views and 1600 feet in elevation gain. It's a wonderful time of the year to get outside!
The group leaves from the MIT student center at 7am on Saturday morning. There will not be any pre-trip meeting, but feel free to email Rahul or Katherine with questions!
Required gear: Shoes suitable for hiking with mud and rocks along with a headlamp, whistle, compass, food, water (2+ liters), waterproof jacket, non cotton sweater/fleece.
There can be mud and water on the trails in this season, so a change of socks and maybe a change of footwear for the ride back is recommended.
