This trip will be a 2 day Avalanche Awareness course. This will be held over the weekend of 4/1-4/2 and participants will stay at the Intervale Cabin.
Synnott Mountain guides teaches this course and among the topics covered include: Plan and prepare for travel in avalanche terrain. Recognize avalanche terrain. Describe a basic framework for making decisions in avalanche terrain. Learn and apply effective companion rescue using beacons and probes.
Prices should be ~$200 for the 2 day course. Note: this isn't going to be run as the 3 day AIARE I, but it will cover similar material.
