This course will be taught by Synnott Mountain Guides. Some of the topics covered: Evaluating terrain, how to travel in roped teams, hauling with a rope (to haul someone out of a crevasse), ascending the rope (if you were to fall into a crevasse), building snow and ice anchors, scenarios with ‘rescuing’ a member of your rope team.

Participants will stay at the Intervale Cabin and attend 2 full days of instruction by SMG over 3/25-3/26. Cost will be ~$200.
