Backcountry skiing is super fun in and of itself, but its also a great way to climb (and descend mountains)!

We'll be skinning up the Cog Railway on telemark and alpine touring gear with the goal of reaching the summit of Mt. Washington. Its likely that snow conditions will necessitate switching from skis to crampons, at which point we will stash our skis and continue by bootpacking with crampons. This bootpack could be around 3-4 miles in length roundtrip so make sure you're comfy in your AT boots!

After the arduous bootpack, we'll put on our skis and you'll remember why skiing was such a good idea as you carve beautiful turns while smiling at all the silly hikers walking down the mountain.
