~aka "A Woman's Place is in the Presidentials"~

Join us for a raucous feminist-themed hike on Mt. Pierce! We'll consume lots of chocolate & celebrate historical badass Annie Smith Peck (https://www.adventure-journal.com/2014/11/historical-badass-annie-smith-peck/). Annie was the first woman to complete a Presidential Traverse, although she is better known for her near-arrest on charges of wearing pants while summitting the Matterhorn. Screw that.

We'll take the Crawford Path on a gradual climb up Pierce (6.4 miles, ~2200 ft elevation gain). The summit is exposed, so full face covering is a must. If it's clear, we'll get stunning views along the Presidential ridge.

This is day 1 of a 2-day mission, so if there's interest, we'll try to bring the Saturday & Sunday groups together at one of the cabins on Saturday night for some extra bonding!

NOTE: All sexes & genders welcome! We simply want to create a particularly warm and welcoming space for women to come together and find their own rhythm in the outdoors, since for many women, 'outdoor culture' and masculine culture have traditionally gone hand-in-hand. But if (like us) you've ever wanted a rad girl gang to get outside with-- this is the trip for you.
