Some winter hiking experience mandatory, some XC experience preferred

Are you a hiker who’s always wanted to learn how to cross country ski? Or a cross country skier who wants more winter hiking experience? Or someone who’s interested in both but doesn’t want to commit a whole day to either? Then this trip is for you! Join us on a hybrid XC ski and hiking trip to Mt. Carrigain this SATURDAY. There will be cookies.

This shouldn't be your first winter trip - we'll try to move quickly and practice all those layering, eating, and peeing skills to have an adventure!

We’ll XC for the first 2 miles, then stash the skis and hike as far as we can up Carrigain (5 mi one-way, 3200ft elevation gain). Bonus points if we make it to the summit, but the goal is scenic cookie-eating rather than peak-bagging
