Strong hiker with experience scrambling

It's only August but for some reason Halloween candy is already on the shelves so that means it's time for terror. But just one terrifying* trail isn't enough for us, neither is two, we're aiming for three steep scrambly trails going up, down, and back up the headwall of King's ravine off of Mt Adam's!

Route:

To get to King's ravine, we'll take the Amphibrach trail. From there we'll head up the Great Gully trail (the longest and steepest of the three), summit Adams, then descend King's Ravine. Next we'll turn around and climb Chemin des dames (the shortest and least steep the three trails). If we're doing well on time and everyone is still having some version of fun, we might add on a bonus jaunt up to Madison hut and Mt Madison. Route options here: https://caltopo.com/m/T25DGDN

Overall distance will be somewhere between 9-12 miles depending on options, and vert will be 5-6000ft!

*These trails are on the Terrifying 25 list, they aren't usually "terrifying", but they are very scrambly and pretty much straight up ascending over 1500ft in under a mile!

Pre-requisites

You should be a strong hiker and have experience scrambling in the White mountains. You should have gone on at least two hikes of over 12 miles and over 5000ft gain within the last year.

The trip signup is first-come first first-served, but participation is at the leader's discretion.

Logistics:

There will be a mandatory virtual pre trip meeting some evening TBD next week. You must have a hiking backpack for this trip that can hold at least 18L of gear including lots of water, snacks, and layers. You can rent a backpack and other gear at office hours Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.

As of now, the weather looks ok, but if it rains, we will likely cancel or change routes. We will open up more spots on the trip if we get another driver

Disclaimer: One of your leaders has already tried to make this same trip happen two previous times. The first time we bailed for weather and the second we ran out of time, so this trip will either be absolutely perfect and amazing or entirely cursed
