🔥 Do you want to lead hikes with us this spring and summer? (yes! it's the best!)
🚂 To become a three season (3S) hiking (co)leader, you'll need to attend a 3S hiking safety/training seminar. This month's seminar:
Thursday, August 27, 7-8pm in the MITOC office and over Zoom.
🍕 We'll have food for those joining in person -- please try to sign up by Wednesday 5pm so that I have an accurate headcount!
To become a 3-season co-leader with MITOC you will need to:
- Have participated in at least 2 official MITOC hiking trips
- Submit an application at mitoc-trips.mit.edu/hiking/leaders/apply
- Attend a 3-season hiking safety/training seminar (like this one!)
To become a 3S (full) leader:
- You can move from a co-leader to full leader status after leading 2 hikes as co-leader and receiving upgrade recommendations from full leaders on these trips
- We will also assign full-leader status on a case-by-case evaluation of previous outdoor leadership expertise, including your leader rating from Winter School, if applicable.
