You may have noticed that there is a pancake hike this weekend with no competing breakfast food hike. If you're like me, you're probably thinking to yourself "they can't keep getting away with it."
Accordingly, we (yay) will hike this route in the opposite direction as "the other hike" (boo) and meet somewhere in the middle. We will then have a culinary cook-off and determine who is the all-time champion of hiking and eating breakfast foods. It's about 4 miles and 600-700ft of elevation. Very fun and easy!
We'll meet at 10am on Sunday morning near the MIT student center. We will then depart just after the other hike to lull them into a false sense of culinary security (I learned that from Sun Tzu) and drive to the Blue Hills, which without traffic is about 15-20 minutes away from the student center.
We will have a pre-trip meeting sometime on Thursday, probably at around 6 or 7pm. Details to follow. If I find another leader, I will increase the number of participants to ten total. This will be a fun chance to practice with camping stoves if you've been looking to gain experience with them.
Don't waffle in your decision making - this is the hike to join.
