Have you ever felt frustrated by the lack of exercise on a resort ski day? Annoyed to queue forever to hop on the lifts? Have you ever wanted to look hardcore in front of the crowds of downhill skiers?
Then, backcountry skiing is for you! Learn how to skin up a slope and zoom down on your skis!
Depending on leader availability, we will hit either of these two locations:
Tenney Mountain (ski resort), offering a variety of runs (https://skitenney.com/trail-map/) and allowing uphill travel for 25$ (or 20 if you already have their armband). Note: this is not included in the circus fee
Duke's trail on Mt Cardigan (not a resort): a reasonably wide trail with the occasional steep section.
Whether we go to Tenney or to Cardigan, you need to be a confident downhill skier (able to ski black runs) to join this trip. However, you do not need AT skiing experience - first timers welcome!
