8.2 mile loop taking in two 5000' peaks (Lincoln and Lafayette), and the glorious above-treeline Franconia Ridge connecting the two. We'll be going up the Falling Waters trail, along the ridge, and down the Old Bridal Path back to the car.

This is going to be a reasonably hard day - with over 4000' of elevation gain, and at least a couple of miles above the treeline. You should be a confident and fit hiker, with some previous winter hiking experience. Experience with traction (microspikes and/or crampons) would be good to have.

This will be an early-start day-trip from Boston but if we have a car that wants to stay at Camelot on the Friday night that works as well.
