Looking for a chance to practice your winter skills, without having to sit in a car for too many hours? Love being outdoors but also love sleep? Want to discover the amazing trails within easy reach of Camberville? Want to freeze your butt off/have a great time on the coldest weekend of the year thusfar?
Join us for a hike this Sunday in the Middlesex Fells!
This weekend will be COLD!!! 10F in the morning cold!!! This trip will be a good way to try out layering and staying warm in a lower risk environment than a mountain hike — but please note that the extreme temperatures means that you should still take the risks seriously.
We'll start at a comfortable 10AM from the Mustang Loop Trailhead (https://maps.app.goo.gl/B4JgtJ8YH1mhoXdc8) near Medford High School, which is easily accessible by public transport. From there, we'll head into the Fells for a chill hike, up to 8 miles + 500ft elevation. We'll discuss the route once signups are closed.
Since it will snow on the weekend, we'll bring snowshoes, microspikes, butt-sleds and mugs for hot drinks! We'll also bring the winter stoves and other gear for you to test out and to make hot chocolate on! Also bring your camera!
Feel free to reach out to the leaders if you have any questions about the trip.
Hope to see you there,
Tom, Philip, Austin
