Join us for an adventure up Mount Jackson (NH48) and Mount Webster (52WAV) via the Jackson-Webster loop trail!

Description

Following the Jackson-Webster loop trail, we'll hit Mt Webster first (one of the 52-with-a-view), before continuing to Mt Jackson (a Presidential with great views). It's a MITOC classic! The loop is roughly 6.2 miles with 2400 ft of elevation gain, making it a moderate hike.

We are likely to use microspikes and maybe snowshoes, but experience with traction is not required. The weather is forecast to be cold, so layering experience would be useful.

Requirements

Fitness suitable for a >6 mile, ~2,400' elevation gain hike. If you're not sure, feel free to email the leaders to check!

Logistics

Mandatory pre-trip meeting at the MIT student center on Thursday, January 15 (time TBD, but will be before the lecture). We will discuss the route and check out gear. Expect to leave Cambridge early on Saturday morning.

We need drivers for this trip! Please make sure your car status is up to date for the lottery. You must be prepared to rent a car if you select 'willing to rent'.
