Prerequisites
No winter experience necessary! You should be comfortable hiking this distance / vert (and have done something similar in the past ~year on NH or equivalent terrain)

Join us for a classic loop hike of Mt Pierce and Mt Jackson and very briefly Pierce into the alpine zone!

This trip is about 8.5 miles long with 3500ft elevation gain. We can plan on taking some time at the summits to give folks a chance to test out their layering systems.

Most of the trail should be in good condition but a few sections might require snowshoes so this trip can also be a chance to practice use of those.

We'll have a pre-trip meeting Thursday after lectures, which will also be a chance for people to rent gear.

Note: this is a duplicate of a trip that had to be cancelled last week. If you were on the cancelled trip and would like to guarantee a spot on this trip DO NOT sign up for the lottery - email us instead and we will add you once the lottery runs.
