Join us on a beginner-friendly hike up Mt. Watatic and Nutting Hill (~1hr from Cambridge)!
We'll take the Wapack Trail up Mt Watatic, where we will hopefully have some great 360-degree views - including Monadnock, Wachusett, and Boston if the weather is clear! From there, we'll continue to Nutting Hill, with an option of continuing on to tag the MA-NH state border. The full hike will be 3 - 3.6 miles with ~725ft of elevation gain.
This is a great intro to winter hiking trip! We'll practice layering, use microspikes if conditions require them, practice the triangle of happiness, and any other skills folks are excited about.
Note: the mandatory pre-trip meeting will take place Thursday 1/8 before the week 1 safety lectures, at 6pm on the fourth floor of the MIT Student Center
