Join us this Sunday for a fun time on Tom, Field, Avalon, and potentially Wiley to experience one of the best parts of winter hiking - the fine art of butt sliding! We'll begin our adventure from the AMC Highland Center, traveling up the Avalon Trail and then splitting off to the ridge. We'll take a quick jaunt up to Mount Tom to tag our first peak of the day. Then, we'll venture onwards to the second peak of the day, Mount Field, before deciding if we'll make an extra push for Mount Willey or continue towards Mount Avalon, where the butt sliding is among the finest in the Whites.
This hike will be 10 miles long with 3,400 feet of elevation gain (including Mount Willey)
