We'll be practicing map reading and navigation skills on a trip to the Middlesex Fells.
We will start and end at the South Border Road Parking Lot. Everyone will have a map and a planned route. At each intersection, each participant in turn will be responsible for identifying where we are in the Fells according to the signposts and directing the group to the correct fork.
The pre-trip meeting will be on Thursday at 6PM at the MITOC office. Although the weather is forecasted to ~45F/8C, we will be renting microspikes and/or hiking boots for icy sections of the Fells.
Saturday plan: - 7:30AM: We will meet at the MIT Student Center - 8:00AM: Start the trip in the Fells - 11:30AM: Expected end of hike
