New Year, New You! Start 2026 off right with a sunset + cocoa + holiday lights run!
Route:
We will be doing a 5ish mile loop through the Boston Commons and Public Gardens, enjoy sunset on the Charles through the Esplanade, and then go to George Howell Coffee to warm up and grab hot cocoa. We will start off at the Park Street MBTA station at 3:30pm and go from there!
If you want to extend the run, there will be a group leaving from the MIT student center at ~3:00pm to jog to Park Street (bonus ~2 miles) and potentially jog back as well.
Pace and prereqs:
This will be a no-drop run (we’ll run at a pace that’s comfortable for everyone), and we'll split into groups if necessary. We're planning on running at a 9:30-10:00 min/mile pace.
Vibes: chill, casual, chatty.
Weather:
High of 28F and low of 12F, overcast and some potential snow/slush/rain from NYE.
What to wear/bring:
- Come dressed to run in chilly weather! It will be windy!
- Festive socks and attire (strongly encouraged but not necessary)
- Money for cocoa, if you want!
Other notes:
- If you're a leader and interested in joining as a leader, please sign up as a participant but email/Slack us!
