Come ski around North Conway, NH, and celebrate the "Sweetest Day on the Trails"!

The Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring and Snowshoe Foundation (located around MITOC's Intervale Cabin) hosts an annual festival where folks can ski from inn to inn along their 45km trails around North Conway, NH. Local businesses such as The Starlight Lodge, Stonehurst Manor, Adventure Suites, and other prominent locations serve as rest stops for participants.

During this festival, each inn offers its unique chocolate sample treat to participants. Last year's offerings included Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies, Pudding Shots with Handmade Chocolate Shot Glasses, and multiple Chocolate Fountains for you to indulge in your fondue skills. We will be skiing around the festival, trying to get as many treats as possible!

Logistics

The XC trails along the festival are flat, well-maintained, accessible, and are located within the town of North Conway. The festival opens at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. All levels welcome as we will be breaking up into 2-3 groups, depending on skill level. This will also be a great experience for MITOCers new to XC to come learn how to ski!

Costs

Participants will share car costs (gas, wear/tear). If you are able to drive or rent a car, please indicate this on your lottery preferences. Please note the total trip fee is $46, which includes the Winter Trip Fee + Festival ticket $30 & XC rentals $16. Fee waivers can always be requested by contacted mitoc-trez@mit.edu
