Done with finals season?? Celebrate with a lovely frolic in the Blue Hills with your two fave student recruitment chairs!! :))

We’re leading this student-focused trip for any undergrad or grad students who haven't left for break yet and who want a fun, relaxed afternoon in the woods learning/practicing some basic winter skills.

The Blue Hills are only 30 minutes from Boston. We will meet on campus at the very reasonable time of 11:00am to head to the hills! We will plan to hike for 2-3 hours via the Skyline loop trail (around 3-4 mi and 1,000 feet elevation gain). The trail is surprisingly rocky so we might need traction depending on conditions. We will be back on campus no later than 4:00pm.

Conditions could be anything – some snow? some ice? spikes? no spikes? 70 degrees and sunny? Who knows! Regardless we will practice layering, navigation and using stoves outdoors. We will bring yummy snacks (Swedish candy!) and hot cocoa. Carolina might also bring her ukulele and sing her Blue Hills-inspired song :000

You must have attended the Winter School safety lectures from previous years already to attend this trip.
