Feeling nostalgic for the days when "back to school" meant a fresh set of coloured pencils and recess on the jungle gym? Trade in your pencil case for a daypack and bring your brightest crayons as we hike Mt. Osceola and East Osceola to summit two of New Hampshire's 4000 footers and show off our Crayola art.

🗺️ Route

Our route will be 7.5 miles out-and-back with around 3000' of elevation gain from the trailhead on Tripoli Road. After summiting Osceola, the ridge to East Osceola will involve scrambling (using both your hands and feet to ascend and descend steep terrain) on a short section known as the Chimney. Mt. Osceola features excellent views of surrounding peaks in Waterville Valley and towards the Presidentials, so artistic inspiration should be plentiful.

📋 Logistics

• Mandatory pre-trip meeting: Thursday, September 11 at 6:30 PM (Zoom). We’ll discuss the route and terrain, gear (footwear, layers, and safety essentials), and other logistics.
• Departure: Sunday morning at 7 AM from Cambridge
• Rides: We’ll need at least one additional driver for this trip. If you can drive other participants, please update your lottery preferences in your MITOC profile. Car costs will be shared among all participants.
