Join a Tuesday ferry trip to Spectacle Island, where we'll hike around the island and to the top of its hills, with its views across the water of the Boston skyline! The island has 5 miles of trails, but we don't have to follow all of them. Optionally we can cool off by swimming in the harbor, at a lifeguarded sandy beach, or we can check out the history at the Visitor Center.

We'll meet at the Ferry Center on (North) Long Wharf in Boston at 10am and take the 10:30am ferry (those who want to walk from MIT can meet at 55 Hayward St at 9:15am) Return time is flexible - ferries leave Spectacle Island at 1:30, 3:30, 5:30pm. MA residents get a discount on weekday ferry tickets, making the round-trip only $15.
