- Moderate (L3)
- Prerequisites
- Hiking boots or trail runners - no running sneakers! Physical condition for this distance and elevation gain.
Join us on a hike to Mt. Percival, Mt. Squam, and Doublehead Mtn. Mt. Percival is a 52-With-A-View peak with an excellent view overlooking Squam Lake, and the trail up it is on the Terrifying 25 because of a challenging scramble through short boulder caves. Then we'll hike along the ridge to two other peaks (or three if you count Doublehead as two!) before descending.
Route: 7.4 mi, 2150' gain, scrambling. Map
We will have a quick mandatory pre-trip meeting on Thursday 8pm over Zoom to go over logistics.
We'll leave Cambridge at 9am and stop for a quick breakfast near the trailheads. We'll hike at a moderate pace.
If you can drive your own car or are willing to drive a rental car, edit your lottery preferences to show this.
Expected car cost per person is $20-40. If you are an MIT undergrad, this cost can be reimbursed.
