We'll meet at the cabin (near North Conway, about a 3 hr drive from Cambridge) around 1pm and spend the afternoon doing cabin maintenance, cleaning, and learning how to use the cabin. We expect to wrap up by around 5 or 6pm (ie, back to MIT by around 8 or 9pm)
I highly encourage folks to take advantage of the rare sunny morning to do a short local adventure (Kearsarge North, Black Cap, North Moat, Doublehead, are all nice hike options)
Our main project for this weekend will be to clean up the property and cabin after the winter. This may include:
- Deep cleaning the cabin
- Reinforcing mouse proofing
- Picking up fallen branches
- Trimming low hanging branches away from fire pit/roof
- Restocking supplies as needed
- Attempting to repair/diagnose the solar power system
Plan to eat lunch before coming and to bring your own snacks and water for the day. Wear clothes that you can get dirty. Jeans are fine. Bring work gloves and an n95 if you have them.
If you can't make this training don't worry, there will be at least 1-2 more over this summer/fall with the option to stay overnight before or after the training to make the drive more worth it :)

- Notes
- Have you been to Intervale before?
- If you plan to do a morning activity, would starting slightly later (~2pm) help you with that?
- Why do you want to get keyholder trained for Intervale?
- If you have a car, are you able to give other folks rides to/from Boston?
