Rumor has it trail running, hiking, and climbing are power sports and having legs of steel helps! Come tackle the Harvard Stadium, a classic training activity to build spring fitness, prepare for summer objectives, or just impress your Strava followers. To quote prior trip postings:
Why climb stairs? Because climbing mountains with ease and happiness doesn’t happen for free. You will struggle on stairs today and float through the clouds on the mountaintops tomorrow. Your glutes will be the glutes that pierce the heavens.
We'll meet/start at the northern corner (Section 37) at 6:15pm, and you're welcome to climb as many sections as you'd like, as slow or as fast as you'd like (there will definitely be chatty/chill contingent). Climbing all 37 sections is ~1.4 mi/1.4k ft. Bring water/snacks and layers appropriate for the weather! You may want a light/reflective clothing/etc. for getting home after, but the stadium should be well lit during our mini-expedition.
Coming from MIT's campus? There might be a crew leaving from the front of the MIT student center at 5:45pm (run over - no drop but targeting 10 min/mi) and 5:50pm (bike over). Let us know if you'd like to join in the notes section!
This is a local frontcountry trip, but you still need to sign up! Thank you for helping us wrangle the chaos.
