Come learn how to skate ski at Weston Ski Track! We will ski Wednesday night from ~7-9pm.
There will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting on zoom Monday evening to go over logistics and gear.
This trip is aimed for beginner skate skiers. We will start with the basics of how to skate ski, and then hit the trails for a chill skate.
Weston Ski Track has night skiing and makes snow, making it a great option for an evening winter outing.
Unfortunately, MITOC does not have skate ski equipment, but Weston rents everything that you'll need so we will need to rent from the nordic center on site. A breakdown of costs for the trip is: * Skate skis, boots, poles: $26 * Trail pass: $13 Financial aid is available for MIT students
We'll have a nice evening of skiing and leave Cambridge at ~6:00 pm to arrive by 6:30pm to rent skis (if needed). We'll then go over the basics of skate skiing starting around 7:00pm and can ski until Weston closes at 9:00 pm (conditions permitting).
