- Recent hiking experience of similar length and gain in any season, and warm layers!
Join us on Mount Israel, one of New Hampshire's 52-With-A-View! Weather permitting, there are views of Squam Lake and the surrounding region of the Sandwich Range.
The hike is 4.2 miles and 1800 ft of elevation gain. We may add a 1.2-mile bonus hike to Beede Falls and Lower Falls if everyone's up for it.
We'll hike at a comfortable pace. This is a great introduction to winter hiking if you have 3-season experience, or to practice those layering skills you've learned so far in winter school!
The pre-trip meeting will be at 9pm Thursday, after the Winter School lecture.
Remember to update your car/driver status in “Lottery preferences” on your MITOC profile!
