Do you often find yourself wishing for longer MITOC trips? Does sleeping in a comfy bed in a heated house ever feel too easy? Is coffee on top of a frozen observation tower your idea of the perfect breakfast?

If so, this trip is for you!! We will combine a sweet cross-country ski run with a spicy hike and an icy camping experience, in a memorable recipe for type II fun.

We will be heading to Mt Carrigain via Signal Ridge Trail. But we won't be hiking the whole way - we will start by cross-country skiing for the first ~4 mi & 1000ft of elevation.

After that, we will stash the skis in the forest and start hiking with snowshoes and/or microspikes. After another 6.85mi, 3855ft elevation gain, we will reach the summit of Mt Carrigain and set up camp for the night (below treeline).

Weather permitting, we will even enjoy sunset and sunrise from the observation tower at the summit, which, according to the White Mountains Guide, "offers what many people believe is the best view of all in the White Mountains."

PLEASE BE AWARE that this is an overnight trip! You MUST be available on both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of January to be able to join!
