Join us this Sunday to summit Mount Wachusett in a beginner-friendly hike with 360-degree views, an easy start time, and a chance to practice some winter stove skills! This trip will be a great way to get in another hike if you’re headed to the Whites on Saturday (we’ll be starting later), make new friends, and try out stoves and other winter skills.
Details
The trail is an hour drive from Boston and the hike will be relatively short and sweet (around 2 and a half hours at a comfortable pace) so we will plan to strike out not-too-early at 11am. The trail AlltTrails Link promises to be a 4.9 mile loop with 1150ft of elevation and a bit of rock scramble at the beginning.
Logistics
Mandatory pre-trip meeting: Thursday, January 16th at 6pm outside the MITOC office (W20-461).
