Join us for a beginner-friendly night XC skiing at Jackson XC Resort, NH on Friday (10 Jan)! No prior experience with XC skiing is necessary! We will leave from MIT ~2:45PM on Friday for the ~3hr drive to Jackson. Night skiing hours are from 6-8PM.
Participants will share car costs (gas, wear/tear). If you are able to drive or rent a car, please indicate this on your lottery preferences. MITOC Winter School fees are capped at $20 ($5 Winter School hiking/XC ski fee + XC ski rentals). If you have your own skis you only need to pay the $5. There is an additional night skiing fee ($10 at Jackson XC Resort).
Jackson XC is very close to MITOC’s cabin in Intervale (if planning to stay there overnight or the day prior). Intervale can be described as ‘indoor camping’ (heat available but will need sleeping system). Overview is provided here, but we will discuss in more detail as well: https://mitoc.mit.edu/rentals/intervale
Mandatory in-person pre-trip meeting Thursday (9 Jan) 5pm in (or around) the MITOC office (W20-461) to discuss logistics and gear.
