Prerequisites
Attendance of Jan or Nov 2024 winter safety lectures. Prior winter hiking experience. Physical condition for this distance and elevation gain. Will need to acquire microspikes and snowshoes.

We're snowshoeing to North and South Hancock, two 4000-footers in the White Mountains of New Hampshire!

Route: 9.8 mi, 2800 ft. gain, steep sections near the summits. Map.

If you are an experienced winter hiker who wants to sign up, please email us directly since not much time remains; you must have attended the two mandatory winter safety lectures either in January 2024 or November 2024, or have been a MITOC winter leader. Also, you would have to have all the required gear (including microspikes and snowshoes) since the MITOC office is closed.
